We are delighted to announce that the speaker for this webcast will be Andrew Okai, Group Chief Executive at Letshego Botswana, who will be interviewed by Stephen Jones, Academic Director of the Chartered Banker MBA programme.
Andrew graduated from the CBMBA programme in 2014 and we are excited to welcome him back to hear about his career since graduation. The event aims to understand Andrew’s journey to his senior position and will give a unique insight into how senior positions within the financial services sector are attained.

Andrew has more than 25 years of experience in International Banking, after commencing his career as a Management Trainee in Unilever Ghana. In his current role, Andrew has shaped Letshego’s Transformation Strategy towards digitalisation of systems and renewed focus to unlock the group’s regional growth potential.
Prior to this role, Andrew has held a number of C-Suite positions with Standard Chartered Bank in Ghana, Hong Kong, South Africa, Zambia and Singapore. One of these roles was as Group Retail Chief Operating Officer (Group COO), in which his responsibilities spanned 30 countries across 4 continents to lead strategic transformation. In addition to this, Andrew also founded Precept Human Capital, a consulting firm dedicated to equipping Africa’s leaders in both the public and private sectors with international trends in leadership and expertise.
