Online lecture
This Flintshire Historical Society online lecture will share findings from an ongoing AHRC ‘Deep Mapping’ project, which aims to analyse landscape continuity and change in a part of north east Wales from the 16th to the 20th century. The talk, delivered by Dr. Shaun Evans of Bangor University and Scott Lloyd of the Royal Commission, will showcase the different types of historical maps relating to the project area, discussing what these reveal about landscape and society in Flintshire across the post-medieval period.
The AHRC ‘Deep Mapping’ project is a collaborative research grant led by the Institute for the Study of Welsh Estates at Bangor University, in partnership with RCAHMW, Aberystwyth University, North East Wales Archives and National Library of Wales.
