Scholarships

If you follow at least 40 credits per year of your undergraduate degree through the medium of Welsh, you will be eligible to apply for the following scholarships:

Bangor Bursary

Bangor University automatically awards £250 a year to students following 40 credits or more (per year) through the medium of Welsh.

Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol:

  • Incentive Scholarships – students are able to apply for an incentive scholarship of £500 a year (for three years) provided that they study at least 120 credits (40 per year) through the medium of Welsh.

    Lead Scholarships – students are able to apply for a lead scholarship of £3000 (over three years) provided that they study at least 240 credits through the medium of Welsh.

Internships

Students following at least 40 credits per year through the medium of Welsh are eligible to apply for our paid internships, which are funded by the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol.

These typically last 6-8 weeks and provide experience of working in psychology as a profession. Successful candidates will be paid £800 for the duration of the post.

At this time, funding for the internship scheme is available for 2018 and 2019.
