Mr Muhammad Shehryar Ahmed
Rhagolwg
I am an MSc by Research student in the School of Ocean Sciences at Bangor University. My research focuses on experimentally investigating the adhesion and retention of microplastics on seaweeds under different hydrodynamic conditions using flume experiments, as well as their ingestion by grazing invertebrates, helping to understand their potential transfer through marine food webs.
My research interests lie in microplastic pollution, their environmental behaviour and ecological impacts across both marine and terrestrial environments.
