Louise holds a PhD in Social Research and Policy, MA Social Research and Policy and MSc in Ecology. Her PhD focussed on young peoples’ labour market experiences, in the context of contemporary welfare reform and precarious employment, underpinned by Marx and Foucauldian theory. Louise has held several research posts and has experience in qualitative data collection including conducting semi- structured, biographical interviews and focus groups with sensitive groups including young people (18-24), individuals with mild to moderate mental health issues, people living with dementia, unpaid carers, health practitioners and other professional groups. She also has experience in Social Return on Investment evaluations, and rapid / scoping and systematic reviews.
Her personal and professional interests include socio-economic inequalities in health, welfare, as well as issues in palliative and end of life care.
