Module ENC-2405:
Cwrs Maes Gogledd Cymru

Cwrs Maes Gogledd Cymru 2025-26
ENC-2405
2025-26
Ysgol Gwyddorau Amgylcheddol a Naturiol
Modiwl - Semester 1 a 2
20 credits
Module Organiser: Stella Farrar
Overview

Bwriad rhaglen y cwrs maes hwn yw rhoi profiad i fyfyrwyr o amrywiaeth o gynefinoedd, fflora a ffawna o amgylch Gogledd Cymru. Adlewyrchir amrywiaeth yr amgylcheddau y byddwch yn gweithio ynddynt yn arbenigedd y staff, ac amrywiaeth y gweithgareddau. Disgwyliwch wlychu, mynd yn fudr, gweithio'n hwyr a (gobeithio) cael hwyl.

Mae gweithgareddau (ac amseru) yn amrywio ychydig o flwyddyn i flwyddyn yn dibynnu ar fewnbwn ac argaeledd staff allweddol ond yn gyffredinol, mae Cwrs Maes Gogledd Cymru yn cynnwys cyfres o deithiau bach (1-2 ddiwrnod) sy’n rhedeg trwy gydol y ddau Semester: mae enghreifftiau o weithgareddau blaenorol wedi cynnwys: archwilio newid defnydd tir yn Ynys Môn, ecoleg ymddygiad cigfrain, trapio mamaliaid bach, cofnodi ymddygiad mamaliaid gyda merlod gwyllt yn y Parc Cenedlaethol, archwilio cysyniadau bioddaearyddiaeth ynys gan ddefnyddio pyllau glan môr fel model; samplu infertebratau a sgiliau adnabod. Dysgir y modiwl yn gyfan gwbl trwy deithiau maes. Mae nifer o weithgareddau yn cynnwys darlithoedd paratoadol, labordai a gwaith dilynol gartref neu yn y labordy yn Nhreborth. Disgwylir i fyfyrwyr hefyd wneud astudiaeth annibynnol i gefnogi'r rhannau o'r cwrs a addysgir.

Yr hyn y dylech baratoi ar ei gyfer: bydd y gwaith maes yn cynnwys mynd allan ym mhob tywydd a cherdded, o bosibl am sawl milltir, yn sicr dros dir anwastad, llithrig ac anrhagweladwy (glannau creigiog, twyni tywod, llethrau coediog a chorsydd mawn ucheldirol). Mae gennym hefyd o leiaf un daith nosol. Bydd angen i chi gario cinio, ac offer ar sawl achlysur.

Bwriad y gweithgareddau yw canolbwyntio ar y sgiliau ymarferol a ddefnyddir gan gadwraethwyr, ceidwaid parciau a rheolwyr gwarchodfeydd, felly dylai myfyrwyr ddisgwyl defnyddio amrywiaeth o offer gwyddonol ac offer llaw – microsgopau, cyfrifiaduron, rhwydi, corers mawn, llifiau bwa, cribiniau, pigau a berfâu. i gyd yn bosibl – i gyd wrth ddogfennu eich gweithgareddau, data a myfyrdodau yn eich llyfrau nodiadau. Yn amlwg, ni chewch eich asesu ar eich gallu i ddefnyddio unrhyw un o'r rhain (cyfrifiaduron a llyfrau nodiadau yn eithriad), felly gellir newid cyfranogiad yn ôl angen ac argaeledd.

Mae'r cwrs wedi'i sefydlu ar hyn o bryd i ddynwared dwyster cwrs maes preswyl trwy drefnu tripiau/gweithgareddau bob dydd am wythnos, gan ddisgwyl i fyfyrwyr ddod yn gynnar a gweithio gyda'r nos.
