-threshold -TrothwyBydd myfyrwyr trothwy (40au is) yn dangos ystod neu ddyfnder gwybodaeth addas ar gyfer rhannau o'r maes perthnasol o leiaf, ac yn gwneud ymgeisiadau rhannol lwyddiannus i saernio dadl sy'n ymgymryd a dadleuon hanesyddol. Bydd angen i’r arholiad ddangos gwybodaeth addas o’r pwnc. Bydd angen tystiolaeth o beth gallu dadansoddol neu sgiliau ymchwil yn y traethawd.

-good -Bydd myfyrwyr da iawn (B-, B, B+ [60au]) yn dangos lefel gadarn o gyrhaeddiad yn yr holl feini prawf a restrwyd yn y paragraffau uchod. Am y ddau, yn yr arholiad bydd angen am dadl berthnasol a chlir, ac yn y traethawd, bydd angen tystiolaeth o sgiliau ymchwil cadarn.
