Overview

Twristiaeth dywyll yw'r weithred o deithio i safleoedd, atyniadau ac arddangosfeydd o farwolaeth, trychineb a dioddefaint. Mae marchnata safleoedd ac atyniadau twristiaeth tywyll yn fater dadleuol o fewn y maes treftadaeth. Mae cwestiynau’n codi ynghylch y rhyngberthynas rhwng cymdeithas gyfoes a nwydd marwolaeth, gan gynnwys materion yn ymwneud â choffáu a choffáu. Mae twristiaeth dywyll yn arfer sefydledig sy'n dyddio'n ôl i'r hen amser gydag atyniadau fel gemau gladiatoriaid Rhufeinig, neu ddienyddiadau cyhoeddus. Heddiw mae gan dwristiaeth dywyll ffynhonnell newydd, sef ymweld â safleoedd o hil-laddiad, llofruddiaeth, terfysgaeth a thrychineb niwclear. Bydd myfyrwyr yn archwilio ffenomenon fel ‘troliau trychineb’, nwydd marwolaeth a materion moesegol dadleuol eraill trwy gyfuniad o archwiliad ehangach o faes twristiaeth dywyll a dealltwriaeth fanwl o astudiaethau achos penodol.

  1. Cyflwyniad i Dwristiaeth Dywyll i. Diffiniadau a theipolegau (e.e. sbectrwm twristiaeth dywyll Stone) ii. Cynsail hanesyddol: o gemau gladiator i ddigwyddiadau dienyddio iii. Twf twristiaeth dywyll mewn diwylliant cyfoes

  2. Y Twrist Tywyll i. Cymhellion a phroffiliau twristiaid tywyll ii. Safbwyntiau seicolegol a chymdeithasol ar farwoldeb a chwilfrydedd weledol iii. Ymgysylltiad emosiynol, empathi, a phrofiad twristiaeth

  3. Rheoli Treftadaeth a Thwristiaeth Dywyll i. Gwleidyddiaeth dehongli safleoedd ii. Cydbwyso coffáu â masnacheiddio iii. Rhanddeiliaid a naratifau dadleuol

  4. Coffáu, Cofadeiladu ac Addysg i. Safleoedd twristiaeth dywyll fel mannau cofio a dysgu ii. Rôl amgueddfeydd, cofadeiladau, a strategaethau dehongli iii. Potensial pedagogaidd yn erbyn dilemâu moesegol

  5. Masnacheiddio Marwolaeth i. Marchnata a brandio twristiaeth dywyll ii. Anrhegion coffa, tywyswyr teithiau, a diwylliant Instagram iii. Dylanwad y cyfryngau a chreu naratifau tywyll

  6. Moeseg a Chyffro i. Cydsyniad, cynrychiolaeth, ac urddas y meirw ii. Codiad ‘twristiaid trychineb’ a ‘phorn trychineb’ iii. Astudiaethau achos o flas gwael ac ymateb y cyhoedd

  7. Twristiaeth Ddigidol Dywyll i. Teithiau rhithwir a chofadeiladau ar-lein ii. Ymatebion y cyfryngau cymdeithasol i drychinebau iii. Codiad ‘trolls trychineb’ a gwylio digidol

Assessment Strategy

Trothwy Bydd myfyrwyr trothwy (D- [42%]) yn dangos gwybodaeth sylfaenol o rannau o leiaf o’r maes perthnasol a byddant yn gwneud ymdrechion lled lwyddiannus o leiaf i lunio dadl sy’n cydnabod y ceir gwahaniaethau mewn dehongliad hanesyddol.

Boddhaol Bydd myfyrwyr sy'n perfformio yn foddhaol (C-, C, C+ [50au]) yn dangos lefel uwch o wybodaeth, a’r gallu i gyflwyno dadl gydlynol sy’n cael ei chynnal gan dystiolaeth addas am nifer o agweddau ar y testun.

Da Bydd myfyrwyr sy'n perfformio yn dda (B-, B, B+ [60au]) yn dangos lefel gadarn o gyrhaeddiad yn yr holl feini prawf a restrwyd yn y paragraffau uchod.

Rhagorol Bydd myfyrwyr sy'n perfformio yn rhagorol (A-, A, A+, A* [70au ac uwch]) yn dangos y cyrhaeddiad cadarn hwn ar draws yr holl feini prawf ynghyd â dyfnder gwybodaeth drawiadol iawn a/neu allu dadansoddol eithriadol graff.

  • Beirniadu ac asesu’r dehongliadau academaidd gwrthdaro ynghylch Twristiaeth Dywyll, gan ganolbwyntio ar ei rôl mewn etifeddiaeth ddiwylliannol, arferion twristiaeth moesegol, ac effaith ar goffáu cyhoeddus a chofnodi.

  • Dangos gallu i ffurfio dadleuon cynhwysfawr, beirniadol ac ystyriol ar y cymhlethdodau cymdeithasol, diwylliannol ac moesegol sy’n gysylltiedig â Thwristiaeth Dywyll.

  • Gwerthuso ffynonellau craidd sy’n ymwneud â safleoedd Twristiaeth Dywyll, asesu nhw yn eu cyd-destunau hanesyddol a diwylliannol, a’u defnyddio i adeiladu dadleuon sy’n ymgysylltu â’r themau a’r materion a gyflwynir yn astudio Twristiaeth Dywyll

  • Gwerthuso’r prif fodelau a’r ystyriaethau moesegol mewn Twristiaeth Dywyll, ac asesu’u heffaith ar brofiadau ymwelwyr a’r ffordd y caiff digwyddiadau hanesyddol eu cynrychioli, yn y byr- ac yn y tymor hir.
