Overview

Ceisia'r modiwl yma roi trololwg o gysyniadau hanesyddol a modern o blentyndod. Dechreua'r gyda chyflwyniad i’r cysyniad o blentyndod, gan gymryd golwg hanesyddol ar ddechrau plentyndod fel yr ydym yn ei adnabod, o’r cyfnod Piwritanaidd pan oedd ‘sbâr y wialen, difetha’r plentyn’ yn llywodraethu drwy’r cyfnodau Goleuedigaeth a Rhamantaidd. Edrychwn ar sut mae plentyndod yn cael ei greu gan gymdeithas yn yr amseroedd hyn gan edrych ar y rhain â llygad modern, gan gymharu disgyrsiau hanesyddol â sut mae plentyndod yn cael ei bortreadu heddiw. Mae rhan olaf y modiwl yn ymdrin ac effeithiau technoleg a'r byd digidol ar blant. Byddwn yn edrych ar y dylanwadau cadarnhaol a negyddol o dechnoleg a'r we ar sut mae plentyndod cyfoes yn cael ei lunio.

Bydd y modiwl yn annog myfyrwyr i herio a dadlau syniadau cryf am blentyndod ac ieuenctid, a gall gynnwys archwiliad o’r cwestiynau a’r pynciau canlynol:

Sut mae ystyron plentyndod ac ieuenctid yn cael eu hadeiladu mewn cymdeithas? Sut mae syniadau am blentyndod ac ieuenctid wedi newid dros amser? Sut mae plant a phobl ifanc yn cael eu portreadu (yn y cyfryngau, o fewn cyd-destunau addysgol) Risg a gwydnwch Stereoteipio rhyw Plentyndod ac ieuenctid fel adegau o ddiniweidrwydd neu wyredd Technoleg a'r byd arlein mewn perthynas â phlentyndod Effeithiau plentyndod digidol

Dealltwriaeth o sut y gall cysyniadau am blentyndod ac ieuenctid newid dros amser a chyd-destun.

-good -(B) Gwybodaeth a dealltwriaeth sylweddol o’r prif ddadleuon a chysyniadau ym maes astudiaethau plentyndod ac ieuenctid. Gallu da i drafod meysydd dylanwad allweddol ar fywydau plant a phobl ifanc yn y gymdeithas gyfoes. Dealltrwriaeth dda o'r prif pryderon cyfoes am blant a phobl ifanc. Dealltwriaeth dda o sut y gall cysyniadau am blentyndod ac ieuenctid newid dros amser a chyd-destun ac effaith hyn ar blant a phobl ifanc.

Gallu eithriadol i drafod meysydd dylanwad allweddol ar fywydau plant a phobl ifanc yn y gymdeithas gyfoes. Dealltrwriaeth ardderchog o'r prif pryderon cyfoes am blant a phobl ifanc. Dealltwriaeth ardderchog o sut y gall cysyniadau am blentyndod ac ieuenctid newid dros amser a chyd-destun ac amrywiaeth effaithiau posib hyn ar blant a phobl ifanc.
