Learning Outcomes
- Engage critically with major thinkers and debates within the field, putting them to productive use in the study of film and its cultural, historical, and social contexts.
- Identify and critically evaluate forms of film scholarship as they have emerged historically and evaluate the processes through which they have come into being, with reference to social, cultural and technological change
- Identify and critically evaluate how different social groups variably make use of, and engage with, film
- Retrieve and generate information, and evaluate sources, in carrying out independent research for self-directed projects in the field of film studies
