Over the past two years, I have worked closely with local primary schools looking at different pedagogical approaches in teaching Physical Development and Physical Education. One project focused on developing a cooperative learning pedagogy to improve the use of ICT and Numeracy in Athletics. In 2016-17 I was funded by Sports Wales in a project to look at Physical Literacy.
My current research is looking at Risk taking in Physical activity and the effect on Health and Wellbeing.
I am also working alongside Dr Susan Jones looking at how “Lesson Study” can develop student teachers’ practice in a school setting.
Teacher Education and Professional Development.
