Dr Ned Hartfiel

Dr Ned Hartfiel holds a PhD in Health Economics from Bangor University. After completing his PhD on the cost-effectiveness of yoga for managing musculoskeletal conditions, Ned has remained at CHEME and is currently working on a social return on investment project evaluating physical activity programmes for older people.
In June 2016, Ned created the Health Back Programme Ltd which was based on his PhD research. In March 2017, he was awarded the Santander Universities Entrepreneurship Award from Bangor University. Ned’s Healthy Back Programme has now been delivered to employees at many organisations including both Gwynedd and Conwy County Councils, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Siemens, Merseyside Police, Barclays and Santander.
