Experience
Ann delivers the Microeconomics and Macroeconomics modules at BUIC. She has worked in the Public, Private and Voluntary sectors during her working life. Her experience has been in Business Management Administration and Human Resources. On a voluntary basis, she is the Executive Director of a charitable company with a portfolio for Business Development and the vice chair of governors for her local High School. In the past, she managed an Enterprise Agency, a Development Trust and was the HR manager for Stena Line. She lectured part time on Business Administration at Bangor University, and an introduction to an MBA at Coleg Menai. She spoke at conferences in the UK and in Hungary on business and societal issues.
BA (Hons) OU 1976-1979, Master of Business Administration (OU) 1993-1996. TEFL certificate, Assessor and teaching qualifications. She invigilates for Coleg Llandrillo Menai. She speaks Welsh fluently and French and German to get her through the holidays.
Interests
She writes poetry, chairs the local heritage group in Holyhead and the Sea Cadet Unit and takes an active interest in the well-being of young people and their future.
One thing she likes about BUIC
She is impressed with the support students are given on both a personal and academic level. BUIC is responsible for the welfare of students and for ensuring that they achieve academic success.
