He has over 35 years management experience in large and medium sized organizations across a variety of sectors, including ten years' service with a clearing bank gaining skills at domestic branches and at head office in the City of London. His career in banking progressed to junior management following which he took a post as the finance controller of an international group of commodity traders before creating a new venture as an importer and distributor of consumer equipment.
Having graduated as an MBA in 1995, Jeff established his own management consultancy and training practice serving, mainly, small and medium sized enterprises, but also helping public sector organizations and social enterprises. He is a qualified executive coach and leadership mentor.
He has, for many years, been engaged as a specialist for the Investors in People quality standard and is appointed by the Law Society to be a Lexcel practitioner, assessing and giving advice to law firms regarding management practices. He is also, in a voluntary capacity, a director and past chairman of the board of a social enterprise engaged in teaching and promoting the Welsh language.
Jeff believes strongly that it is the people within organizations who hold the key to organizational success and that teams comprising individuals of diverse backgrounds will apply a variety of perspectives to the many challenges that businesses face today, including recognising opportunities and ensuring continual improvement.
He enjoys horse riding, 5-a-side football and running.
One thing I like about BUIC
BUIC provides an excellent educational experience to enable international students to enhance their knowledge of subject matters they will encounter at higher education levels and this will enable them to make more sense of the world in which we live.
