While undertaking my BA in Marketing at Bangor University, I became engrossed in the consumer psychology literature. Following my undergraduate graduation, I remained at Bangor University and pursued a MSc in Business with Consumer Psychology (with the assistance provided by the Bangor Business School Gold Scholarship). Upon the completion of this postgraduate degree, I worked in a frontline marketing role for 6 months – gaining invaluable experience concerning the application of marketing theories. I am now beginning my PhD at Bangor University after being awarded a PhD Studentship by the Bangor Business School.

Research Interests

My research interests focus upon decision making conducted in the consumer environment. I am specifically interested in how persuasive communications can be leveraged in order to increase the wellbeing of consumers.

Summary of Research

My PhD will concentrate on researching the process of deliberate self-persuasion and its role in the formation (or change) of consumer attitudes towards harmful and beneficial behaviours.
