Open Day Information for Prospective Postgraduate Students
Our next general Open Days will be held on Saturday 29 June and Saturday 6 July 2019.
The Open Day is an ideal opportunity to:
- learn about the Bangor student experience
- speak to academic and support staff
- find out about postgraduate funding
- visit academic departments
- talk to current students
- take a look at university accommodation
Open Day Programme for Postgraduates:
Arrival - 9.15am onwards
Main University Building (no.51 on the campus map)
Please register online. We will e-mail you with a registration card to print and hand in on the day.
Welcome Talk - 10.00am
Prichard-Jones Hall, Main University Building
At the end of the Welcome Talk, student guides will take you to visit your academic school along with prospective undergraduate students.
Academic School Visit - 10.30am - 12.15pm*
If you arrive late and have missed the Welcome Talk, please be at the Main University Building at 10.15am to meet with the student guides and other visitors coming out of the Welcome Talk. Student guides will hold signposts telling you which School they are heading to - follow them! *Although prospective undergraduates will leave the Schools at 12.15pm, prospective postgraduates are welcome to stay on for an additional chat in the relative quiet of the lunch period.
Additional tours and activities - 12.30pm onwards
Additional tours and activities
In the afternoon, you are welcome to take advantage of the Accommodation Tours (leaving regularly from outside the Main University Building), Sports Centre Tours (upon request) and to attend the mini-exhibition taking place in the foyer of the Main University Building. This is also a good opportunity to explore the campus and find something to eat and drink.
