As a full-time UK undergraduate student starting your course you will have two main costs to meet:
- Your tuition fees
- Your living costs
There is help available to meet these costs, with the exact financial support available to you depending on which part of the UK you are from.
The provisional tuition fee for full-time Home undergraduate students starting at Bangor University in September 2026 is £9,535.*
The University may increase the fees for each subsequent year of study by the amount permitted by Welsh Government. For more information please consult the University's Fee and Access Plan and Tuition Fee Policy.
The important thing to remember about the tuition fee is that UK students do not have to pay the tuition fee upfront – you study first and pay back when you’re earning. Once you leave University, you will start to repay the loan in the April after you graduate. You only start repaying when you're earning over the repayment threshold.
* Please note. the tuition fee cap (the maximum tuition fee that regulated providers can charge to certain students on full-time undergraduate courses) is subject to regulation by the Welsh Government. Final Tuition Fees for 2026/27 and subsequent years will be confirmed as soon as they become available.
