North Wales Business Academy
The North Wales Business Academy (NWBA) encourages business growth and competitiveness by enabling employers in the North Wales region to identify and address the specific training needs of their organisation.
NWBA is an integrated training programme, delivered in two parts. The aim of the programme is to drive forward economic growth and competitiveness across the region. This is a three year initiative part-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF), through the Welsh Government.
During phase 1, the Strategic Business Analysis (SBA) module, the business owner/ head of department will strategically review the business. This module is the gateway for joining the Academy, and is delivered over two full days. Participants are allocated an experienced Business Mentor to support the business evaluation process and to identify further training needs.
Phase 2 offers a wide range of short, focused, Higher Education accredited modules. Each module offers short and effective training designed to improve the management, operational and leadership performance of the workforce.
This is a collaborative project between Bangor University, Wrexham Glyndwr University, Grwp Llandrillo Menai (Project Lead) and Coleg Cambria. We are working together across the region to enable you to have access to the project, so you can take part and benefit, no matter where your business is located in North Wales.
We offer a wide range of core and specialist modules, tailored to meet the needs of growing businesses. The modules are based around seven business themes which are unique to the programme. Each of the themes is covered during the Strategic Business Analysis module.
Our team of experienced business mentors will then work closely with your business to ensure that the skills and knowledge gained from the programme become embedded in the workplace.
