North Wales Business Academy

The North Wales Business Academy (NWBA) is an exciting new three year initiative part funded by the European Social Fund (ESF), through the Welsh Government. The aim of the programme is to encourage business growth and competitiveness by enabling employers in the North Wales region to identify and address the specific training needs of their organisation.

After taking part in the initial Strategic Business Analysis (SBA) module, which assesses requirements specific to each individual business, your employees can then go on to learn the essential skills which will enable you to develop and expand your business. During the initial SBA phase, you will be supported by one of our experienced business mentors who will help you map out your strategic goals.

The programme provides a mechanism to build quality leadership and management skills of employees in the region, to support future competitiveness and employment.

Our Partners

This is a collaborative project between Bangor University, Wrexham Glyndwr University, Grwp Llandrillo Menai (Project Lead) and Coleg Cambria. We are working together across the region to enable you to have access to the project, so you can take part and benefit, no matter where your business is located in North Wales.

Our Offer

We offer a wide range of core and specialist modules, tailored to meet the needs of growing businesses. The modules are based around seven business themes which are unique to the programme. Each of the themes is covered during the Strategic Business Analysis module.

Our modules are short, accredited qualifications (level 4–6) which will be available to you and your employees to benefit from after the completion of the SBA. Our team of experienced business mentors will then work closely with your business to ensure that the skills and knowledge gained from the programme become embedded in the workplace.
