Why China? How China? conference
On Wednesday 2 April 2014, Bangor University's Confucius Institute hosted a unique conference at the University's Reichel Hall, exploring the topic: Why China? How China?
The conference - the first of its kind to be hosted in north Wales - aimed to unite businesses in Wales and the north West of England with academia, public and third sector organisations to explore some of the opportunities and challenges of doing business with China.
A selection of high profile speakers led the debate, including successful entrepreneurs, academic specialists and well informed China-watchers, and a drop-in session in the afternoon offered tailored business advice to delegates.
The conference provided a unique chance to engage in current debate with those in the know and, for businesses thinking of taking the next step into China, or wanting to know more about the pros and cons of doing so, this proved to be invaluable opportunity for networking and knowledge exchange.
The conference received such high acclaim this year, that it is hoped we will be able to make it an annual spring event (please watch the website for details - we will announce more information in the New Year 2015).
