Mae ymchwil Prifysgol Bangor ar y thema hon wedi datblygu ei chryfderau hirsefydlog mewn dysgu peirianyddol ac adnabod patrymau ac wedi ehangu ei heffaith i feysydd dadansoddeg a rhithrealiti. Mae gwaith ymchwil presennol y Brifysgol yn canolbwyntio ar ryngweithio rhwng pobl a chyfrifiaduron, delweddu data a gwybodaeth, dadansoddi gweledol, gweledigaeth gyfrifiadurol, adnabod patrymau, dysgu peiriannau, Realiti(X), bywyd artiffisial, cyfrifiadura esblygiadol, dadansoddeg dysgu a graffeg feddygol. Atgyfnerthwyd hyn oll yn ddiweddar trwy bartneriaeth y Brifysgol yng Nghanolfan Hyfforddiant Doethurol Deallusrwydd Artiffisial, Dysgu Peirianyddol a Chyfrifiadura Uwch yr EPSRC, mewn partneriaeth â Phrifysgolion Caerdydd, Abertawe ac Aberystwyth. Mae'r Brifysgol yn buddsoddi’n strategol i ddatblygu ei hymchwil mewn deallusrwydd artiffisial a dysgu peirianyddol er mwyn cynnal ymchwil ar draws y gwyddorau amgylcheddol a pheirianneg gydag arbenigedd yn y dulliau allweddol hyn o ddadansoddi a modelu data.
Uchafbwyntiau Ymchwil

Mae’r nodwedd dadansoddi prif gydrannau newydd yn cynnwys technegau dethol a gefnogir gan Ymddiriedolaeth Leverhulme, a ddefnyddiwyd gan Fwrdd Criced Lloegr i nodi’r elfennau hynny allai ragfynegi perfformiad elitaidd. Datblygu'r fframwaith dadansoddeg rhithrealiti drochol safonau agored cyntaf ar y we i safoni'r ffordd y caiff profiadau rhithrealiti seiliedig ar ddata eu creu a'u defnyddio ar-lein. Defnydd newydd o asiantau animeiddio gweithdrefnol a graffeg gyfrifiadurol i alluogi masnacheiddio 'Ocean Rift', un o'r profiadau rithrealiti mwyaf blaenllaw ar gyfer llu o lwyfannau rithrealiti.
