Government expands definition of employees in the Public Sector
The government is introducing new rules to stem the reduction of tax take because of the so-called ‘Gig economy’. From 6 th April 2017, new legislation will expand the definition of those deemed to be employed within the public sector to take in limited companies and partnerships often called Personal Service Companies and sole traders doing business either under a trading name or as an individual.
