ICSMuS Objectives
Objectives
ICSMuS has the objectives to:
- be an interdisciplinary centre of research and advanced study in sacred music, liturgy and related fields;
- provide a virtual centre and international network for scholars and practitioners, working either individually or within academic institutions, across the interdisciplinary range of sacred music, liturgy and related fields;
- offer channels of contact, dialogue, information and support to those engaged in research and study in sacred music and liturgy, and to enable public dissemination of relevant work or activity, especially through the internet;
- engage with partners and collaborators from academic institutions and from the wider world of the church, music and related fields to maximise its own scope and impact;
- provide courses of study in sacred music at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, making significant use of part-time distance learning.
