We guarantee a room in our halls of residence to all first year undergraduates who hold Bangor as their Firm Choice and apply before the given deadline.
Our accommodation is self-catered and the majority of our halls are en-suite. All our halls are within walking distance of the main University buildings and city centre. Take a look at our campus map to see where our accommodation is located.
Choose where you want to live!
We currently have around 2,960 rooms available at three residential locations; Ffriddoedd Village, St Mary's Village and Neuadd Garth (Postgraduate Hall). Our booking system allows you choose the specific room and hall that you want to live in.
Applicants who hold Bangor as their Firm Choice through UCAS will be emailed end of April/ May with details on how to apply.
Low cost of living & on-site amenities
The cost of living in Bangor is low compared to other university cities in the UK. Students living in halls of residence also have the advantage of internet, water, electricity and heating bills being included in the price.

Bangor University's accommodation was named as the best in the UK at the What Uni Student Choice Awards 2016.
Free gym and Campus Life membership
All students living in University accommodation receive free gym and Campus Life membership. Campus Life runs a programme of free events throughout the year, including film nights, quizzes, trips and outdoor activities.
The University's sport centre, Canolfan Brailsford, is located at the Ffriddoedd Village and there is a Fitness Room at St Mary's Village.

The largest accommodation site is in Upper Bangor, about ten minutes walk from College Road, the Science buildings and the city centre. The village has a shop, laundrettes and common rooms. The rooms on this site are predominantly en-suite.
Also on site is Bar Uno, the student cafe-bar, serving meals and drinks from breakfast through to dinner, and Canolfan Brailsford, the University's sport and leisure centre.
Canolfan Brailsford has extensive indoor and outdoor sporting facilities, including state-of-the-art CV equipment, a climbing wall, squash courts, two sports halls, tennis courts and an all-weather pitch.
St Mary's Village
St Mary’s is a new development of 600 rooms that includes en-suite rooms, budget rooms, townhouses and studios. Also located on-site is a laundrette, fitness room, Barlows coffee shop/cafe and common rooms.
Garth is a postgraduate hall, located on College Road. It is a self-catering hall that has recently been refurbished. Garth is two minutes' walk from the Main University building and five minutes' walk from the city centre.

Arrangements can be made where possible to accommodate individual requests from students which are disability related.
