Our accommodation

We guarantee a room in our halls of residence to all first-year undergraduates who hold Bangor as their Firm Choice and apply before the given deadline.

Our accommodation is self-catered and the majority of our halls are en-suite. All our halls are within walking distance of the main University buildings and city centre. Take a look at our campus map to see where our accommodation is located.

Choose where you want to live

We currently have around 2,960 rooms available at three residential locations; Ffriddoedd Village, St Mary's Village and Neuadd Garth (Postgraduate Hall). Our booking system allows you choose the specific room and hall that you want to live in.

How to apply

Applicants who hold Bangor as their Firm Choice through UCAS will be emailed on in April with details on how to apply.

Accommodation of the highest standard

Bangor University's accommodation was named as the best in the UK at the What Uni Student Choice Awards 2018. Students living in halls of residence also have the advantage of of wi-fi, wired internet, water, electricity and heating bills being included in the price.

Free gym and Campus Life membership

All students living in University accommodation receive free gym and Campus Life membership. Campus Life rCampus Lifeuns a programme of free events throughout the year, including film nights, quizzes, trips and outdoor activities.

The University's sport centre, Canolfan Brailsford, is located at the Ffriddoedd Village and there is a Fitness Room at St Mary's Village.

Arrangements can be made where possible to accommodate individual requests from students which are disability related.
