Projects
The Coleg allocates grants to universities for projects which aim to support and promote higher education through the medium of Welsh. Bangor University has benefitted greatly from these grants.
Small Grants’ scheme
The small grants are worth up to £2,500 and are for projects lasting up to 12 months. Here are some examples of projects that have been funded through the small grants’ scheme:
- Presenting research project outcomes online
- A series of guest lectures
- Organising a Day School
- Attending an international conference
- Employing a researcher to collect data
Strategic Developments Fund - Main projects
The Strategic Developments fund is allocated for projects which last for up to 3 years. There is one opportunity annually to prepare applications for this fund. Here are some examples of projects that have been funded through the strategic grants’ scheme:
- Developing a new module
- Creating internships for students
- Publishing a monograph
- Creating a website
