Clearing success Ben Shone: Biomedical Science

Ben Shone came to Bangor University through Clearing. He tells us his about his experience of getting his A-Level results and how he was offered a place on the Biomedical Science degree here at Bangor.

I phoned a lecturer during Clearing week and she described the course to me in more detail and encouraged me to try it. I'm very glad I did. I had wanted to attend Bangor but wasn't sure if I was up to it with being a carer and having teenage children. Studying as a mature student has been challenging but extremely rewarding, I have gained a lot of confidence from the last three years.

Clearing success Cameron Arkle: Psychology

Before applying through Clearing to Bangor, I was going to be studying at another university, but I am so glad I made the switch to study here instead. Bangor feels more welcoming and everything you need during your studies is right on your doorstep.

Not only was I offered a place to study the course I wanted to but the staff kept in contact throughout the process to keep me updated and also ensure I was okay. I was also offered a campus tour, after accepting my place, which also helped as it meant I was not going into my studies without even knowing the University.
