First International Conference on Women’s Work in Music

Bangor University’s School of Music is proud to host the First International Conference on Women’s Work in Music (4 – 7 September 2017).  We will be welcoming prominent speakers and musicians from a range of backgrounds, including academics, practitioners, funders, broadcasters, journalists and other professionals. 

Highlights include:

  • Over 90 individual Papers, Lecture-Recitals, Panels and Round-Table Discussions.
  • A Music Industry Panel chaired by Deborah Annetts, Chief Executive of the ISM and a PRS for Music Panel.
  • Keynote Presentations by leading scholar Sophie Fuller and classical music writer Jessica Duchen.
  • Two Conference Concerts featuring the music of Grace Williams, Rhian Samuel, and Hilary Tann, as well as premieres of music by Nicola LeFanu and Eleanor Alberga.
