Overall aims and purpose

Archwilia’r cwrs hwn faes cymdeithaseg cerddoriaeth yng Nghymru heddiw. Yn ogystal â rhoi gwybodaeth graidd am ystyr, cyd-destun a datblygiad hanesyddol y term – gan gyfeirio at ymchwilwyr arloesol yn y maes e.e. Adorno, DeNora ayyb – edrychir yn benodol ar bwysigrwydd cerddoriaeth mewn gwahanol sefyllfaoedd cymdeithasol yn yr oes sydd ohoni. Rhoddir gwedd Gymreig i’r modiwl, gan edrych yn benodol ar y defnydd o gerddoriaeth wrth fynegi hunaniaeth yng Nghymru yn ogystal â diwylliannau lleiafrifol Ewropeaidd eraill.

Course content

Er mwyn cyflawni’r deilliannau dysgu uchod, bydd y themâu a ganlyn yn cael eu trafod:

  1. Beth yw Cymdeithaseg Cerddoriaeth?

  2. Cyd-destun hanesyddol Cymdeithaseg Cerddoriaeth.

  3. Pwysigrwydd cerddoriaeth mewn bywyd cymdeithasol (gan edrych ar y lleol a’r byd-eang [‘glocal’].

  4. Cerddoriaeth a hunaniaeth yng Nghymru.

  5. Pwysigrwydd cerddoriaeth mewn diwylliannau lleiafrifol yn Ewrop.

  6. Cerddoriaeth mewn gwahanol sefyllfaoedd cymdeithasol (gan gynnwys chwaraeon, siopa/marchnata, gwasanaethau crefyddol a phrotestiadau).

Bydd y myfyriwr yn dangos ymwybyddiaeth sylfaenol o brif theorïau a phersbectifau ym maes Cymdeithaseg Cerddoriaeth. Bydd y myfyriwr yn arddangos ymwybyddiaeth sylfaenol o ddatblygiadau hanesyddol y maes gan gyfleu dealltwriaeth sylfaenol o berthynas Cerddoriaeth a Chymdeithaseg yng Nghymru. Bydd y myfyriwr yn gallu defnyddio cysyniadau allweddol gan gyfeirio at ymchwil hanesyddol a chyfredol y maes gan gyflwyno gwaith ysgrifenedig sydd yn cynnwys cyfeiriadaeth a llyfryddiaeth sylfaenol.

Bydd y myfyriwr yn gallu defnyddio a dadansoddi cysyniadau allweddol y maes gan gyfeirio at ymchwil hanesyddol a chyfredol y maes gan gyflwyno gwaith ysgrifenedig o safon da sydd yn cynnwys cyfeiriadaeth a llyfryddiaeth briodol gywir.

Bydd y myfyriwr yn arddangos ymwybyddiaeth feirniadol, aeddfed a thrylwyr o ddatblygiadau hanesyddol y maes gan gyfleu dealltwriaeth ac ymwybyddiaeth feirniadol a gwreiddiol o berthynas Cerddoriaeth a Chymdeithaseg yng Nghymru. Bydd y myfyriwr yn gallu defnyddio, dadansoddi a gwerthuso’n feirniadol cysyniadau allweddol gan gyfeirio at ymchwil hanesyddol a chyfredol y maes gan gyflwyno gwaith ysgrifenedig o safon arbennig sydd yn cynnwys cyfeiriadaeth a llyfryddiaeth gynhwyfawr, eang a threfnus ei naws.

  3. Cymhwyso’r themâu ymchwil hyn (uchod) ar gyfer y cyd-destun Cymreig, gan ddeall y berthynas rhwng cerddoriaeth a’r hunaniaeth Gymreig:

  4. Ymdrin a gwerthuso prif themâu ymchwil a damcaniaethau cymdeithaseg Cerddoriaeth;

  5. Arddangos dealltwriaeth sylfaenol o hanes a datblygiad maes Cymdeithaseg Cerddoriaeth;
