Featured on this page are some walks from various points on the Bangor and Menai Bridge sites and also some historical walks to get to know the area. We hope in the future to cover walks from all of our sites for staff to enjoy.

Inter Site Travelling

Instead of taking your car to meetings in other parts of the campus, have you thought of allowing the extra 10-15 minutes to take a nice walk or cycle instead? Most of the time you spend 5 minutes searching for a car parking space anyway!

Walking for Leisure

Please visit this page for a range of walks to do from where you live or the Wrexham campus. Walks range from the Snowdonia mountains, Lleyn Peninsula, Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path to the County of Conwy.

University Mountain Walking Club

This Students' Union club offers all students and staff a chance to make the most of that opportunity to explore, it doesn't matter if you're a beginner or an experienced hill walker.

Corwen Walking Festival

The Corwen Walking Festival normally takes place at the end of August or beginning of September. Corwen is a fantastic venue for this type of event and is a wonderful base for walking enthusiasts as it offers walks from the town that suit all levels of walking. Click here for further details.

Barmouth Walking Festival

The Walking Festival usually takes place towards the end of September. It is a well established event organised to take advantage of the fabulous walks and dramatic landscape accessible from Barmouth, on the west coast of Wales. The festival gives walkers of all abilities the opportunity to enjoy guided walks around the beautiful Mawddach Estuary and Southern Snowdonia. Details can be found here.
