INTER/actions Symposium on Interactive Electronic Music

INTER/actions is a free two-day symposium and mini-festival focusing on performance and interaction in electronic music to be held March 15-16 following the Bangor New Music Festival.
Featured composers include Arlene Sierra (Cardiff) with the world premiere of "Urban Birds" for three pianos, electronics and sampled birdsong of as part of the PRS Foundation's New Music Biennial, as well as a concert of Stockhausen’s landmark "Mantra" with The Pestova/Meyer Piano Duo. Our keynote presenters are Freida Abtan, Nicholas Collins and Gilbert Nouno with featured performers Richard Craig, Clare Hammond, Kathleen Supove and Seth Woods.
The event is organized by Bangor University’s School of Music in special partnership with Diaphonique and Yamaha. It will include two concerts, numerous paper sessions, and a live electronics workshop led by Gilbert Nouno (IRCAM). Please see the website for details at http://www.bangor.ac.uk/music/interactions.
