Bangor University Doctoral Society "Doc Soc"

The Doctoral Society, “DocSoc”, welcomes everyone who wants to get in touch with other PhD students from across the whole University! You can join us anytime, whether you are new at the university or just want a chance to get to know other people.

The objectives of DocSoc are to:

  • Provide peer support for postgraduate research students

  • Organise social and academic events

  • Develop an interdisciplinary community of practice

We have Friday drinks at the end of each month and meet every Thursday for PhTea at UNDEB in Pontio, with free tea/coffee and biscuits. We also organise trips, BBQ’s and explore Bangor’s cafes. We also have plans to hold a PhD conference at Bangor University in the coming year.

PhTea takes place every Thursday from 12-2 pm in Pontio, 4th floor at UNDEB (Bangor University’s Student’s Union).
