The promotion opportunities outlined below are currently available. Please note however that for items 5 and 6 (Promotion to Senior Lecturer, and Promotion and regrading for all other staff), the deadline for applications for the current window is the 31st of October rather than the 31st of July 2019.

1.   Pay Progression within Grades and Contribution related pay

  • Closing date for applications: 31 January annually

2.   Pay Progression within Professorial Grades and Contribution Related Pay

  • Closing date for applications: 31 July annually

3.   Promotion to Reader or Professorial Band 1

  • Applications accepted all year round. The Committee meets approximately once every 3 months or when required depending on the number of applications received

7.   Advancement from Lecturer 1 to Lecturer 2

  • Staff who are eligible for advancement will be contacted in June of the year they are due to advance, to prepare their application form for submission
