This module will equip musicians with the skills, knowledge and understanding they will require for professional musical activity in a digital age.
The nature of sound; Listening in a digital age; Digital audio; Recording and editing techniques; Digital instruments and control; Digitally enhanced performance; Digital media; Digital rights
Assessment Strategy
One mid-term technical assignment, assessing music technology skills in a studio setting; One final assignment, demonstrating an appreciation of and facility in digitally-informed musical performance.
