Overview
This module offers you the chance to design, carry out and evaluate an innovative enterprise project in the local community. You will be supported to develop their employability skills and develop confidence in group work.

Assessment Strategy
-threshold -Threshold: D-, D, D+A satisfactory knowledge and understanding of the key historical and social ideas relevant to the study of childhood and youth. An adequate ability to discuss key areas of influence (such as technology or advertising) on children and young people's lives in contemporary society
-good -Good: C-, C, C+A significant knowledge and understanding of the key historical and social ideas relevant to the study of childhood and youth. A good ability to discuss key areas of influence on children and young people's lives in contemporary society. Work at this level shows some reasonably good engagement with wider research.
-excellent -Excellent: A- to A*A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the key historical and social ideas relevant to the study of childhood and youth. An exceptional ability to discuss key spheres of influence on children and young people's lives in contemporary society. Work at this level engages deeply with research and offers some independent thought and reflection based on such engagement.
Learning Outcomes
- Appraise the enterprise project that they have planned and delivered as a part of a group. Students will be able to reflect on their own contribution to the group work in line with the graduate attributes and consider the application of their enterprise project to the wider community.
- Demonstrate and apply an understanding of the current needs of the children and young people's workforce within their local community. Students will generate innovative ideas that could meet those needs.
- Demonstrate and apply understanding of innovative enterprise skills and project planning. Students will be able to discuss the challenges and benefits of their chosen enterprise project and explain how they developed their planning to meet the needs of the children and young people's workforce.
- Develop innovative ideas and create a completed product or service that meets current needs of the children and young people's workforce within their local community.

Description
The portfolio will include: A reflection on the process of carrying out their enterprise project, the limitations and recommendations to improve it. A reflection of the skills they developed during the enterprise project under the headings of the Bangor University Graduate Attributes. Feedback from the community engaged with for the project.
