Fees and Finances
When coming to University, you will have two main costs. These will be Tuition Fees and Living Costs.
The important thing to remember about the tuition fees is that UK students do not have to pay the tuition fee up front – you study first and pay back when you’re earning. You don’t have to pay any tuition fees up front or while you are studying (although you can if you want to). The payment is deferred until after you graduate through a tuition fee loan. You will start to repay the loan as soon as you start earning over £26,575 a year.
All students, whether or not they are living at home, will have costs to meet. The main costs are accommodation, rent, bills, food, clothing, books, equipment, travel and socialising.
Help and Support
Whatever your circumstances, there is help available to all students to deal with the costs of university. You will recieve help from the government and from the University.

New EU Undergraduates for 2021 Entry
The UK Government has announced that it will cease providing support for EU nationals and their family members after the end of the EU transition period in December of this year.
In line with this, the Welsh Government will cease providing equivalent support for EU nationals and their family members as for Welsh domiciled students. Students who begin a course of higher or further education on or after 1 August 2021 will NOT be eligible for support or, in the case of higher education courses, home fee status.
The Welsh Government intends to provide support for those who will benefit from citizens’ rights (‘Settled Status’) under the EU Withdrawal Agreement.
