After graduating from Bangor Business School in 2015 with a First Class BA Honours in Business Studies and Marketing (International Experience) Owen continued his studies at Bangor undertaking an MA in Management by Research exploring the themes of organisational learning and democratic participation in the context of worker co-operatives through a case study of a small peer-to-peer network. In October 2016, having passed his viva, he started a PhD in Management Studies under the supervision of Dr Clair Doloriert and Professor Tony Dobbins. His doctoral research builds upon previous work in seeking to understand how co-operatives develop as democratic organisations through the activities of educating, training, and informing.
