Arwel Tomos Williams is a Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol funded PhD candidate in the School of Psychology, Bangor University, under the supervision of Professor J. Carl Hughes, Dr Lowri A. Hughes and Dr Emily J. Tyler.
Arwel is interested in the language behaviour employed by Welsh-English bilinguals. Language behaviour is likely to be a result of a variety of internal and external factors, and Arwel is interested in learning more on their potential influence on which language people choose to use, and how techniques derived from behavioural psychology can be applied to change people’s language behaviour to actively use Welsh more often in the bilingual workplace context.
