Seicoleg Datblygol

Overall aims and purpose

Mae'r modiwl hwn yn canolbwyntio ar brosesau datblygu biolegol, gwybyddol a chymdeithasol a'u cydberthnasau. Yn rhan gyntaf y modiwl, ceir myfyrwyr trosolwg beirniadol o brif ddamcaniaethau ac ymagweddau astudio prosesau datblygu sylfaenol, gyda phwyslais ar eu tarddiad yn ystod plentyndod. Mewn darlithoedd diweddarach, cyflwynir a thrafodir rhai o ddefnyddiau ymchwil datblygiadol.

Course content

Yn rhan gyntaf y modiwl, bydd y pynciau a drafodir mewn darlithoedd yn cynnwys: - Cyflwyniad i seicoleg ddatblygiadol; - Datblygiad cyn geni a genedigaeth; - Datblygiad cynnar, canfyddiad a dysgu; - Persbectif Piagetaidd am ddatblygiad gwybyddol; - Damcaniaeth a chyd-destun Vygotsky ar gyfer datblygu; - Datblygu gwybyddiaeth gymdeithasol, dynwared, a theori meddwl; - Datblygu iaith a chyfathrebu; - Datblygu emosiynau ac ymlyniad. Yn ail ran y modiwl, trwy ddarlithoedd a sgyrsiau gwadd, byddwn yn ystyried y ffyrdd y gellir defnyddio canfyddiadau ymchwil i wella canlyniadau datblygiadol plant, pobl ifanc, oedolion a theuluoedd.

Cwmpas cymharol gynhwysfawr. Trefnus a strwythuredig. Dealltwriaeth dda o'r deunydd. Tystiolaeth o ymgysylltu a dealltwriaeth o'r holl gysyniadau datblygiadol a gyflwynwyd yn y Modiwl. Byddai myfyrwyr sydd ond yn cyrraedd y lefel hon yn derbyn graddau C, C, neu C +. Byddai'r rhai sy'n dangos perfformiadau mwy medrus yn derbyn graddau B, B, neu B +.

Learning outcomes

  1. Deall tarddiad ac effaith rhai o brif faterion datblygiad plentyndod a gwerthuso effeithiolrwydd yr ymyriadau a gynlluniwyd i leddfu'r problemau hyn.

  2. Deall dulliau ymchwil a ddefnyddir i ymchwilio i darddiad gwahaniaethau unigol mewn plant a gwerthuso eu cryfderau a'u cyfyngiadau.

  3. Disgrifio’r prif gamau a phrosesau yn natblygiad gwybyddol, iaith a chymdeithasol plant.

  4. Archwilio'r cyd-destun ehangach lle mae datblygiad yn digwydd.

  5. Deall cysyniadau mawr mewn seicoleg ddatblygiadol a dulliau damcaniaethol o astudio datblygiad plant, gan gynnwys safbwyntiau datblygiad biolegol, gwybyddol a chymdeithasol.

  6. Gwerthuso'n feirniadol faterion sy'n ymwneud â rhai o'r prif bynciau a astudiwyd gan seicolegydd datblygiadol o fewn fframwaith safbwyntiau damcaniaethol perthnasol.

  7. Ystyried seicoleg ddatblygiadol fel gwyddoniaeth yn ei chyd-destun cymdeithasol a diwylliannol ehangach; archwilio rhai o'i gysyniadau allweddol, materion moesegol, a dylanwadau gwleidyddol.

  8. Gweithio'n annibynnol, chwilio'r llenyddiaeth i ddysgu am ddulliau a chanfyddiadau a ddefnyddir i ymchwilio i bynciau penodol, ac ystyried eu cryfderau a'u diffygion.

  9. Cyfathrebu rhywfaint o ymchwil ddiweddar mewn seicoleg ddatblygiadol mewn ffordd a all fod yn ddefnyddiol i gynulleidfaoedd targed (arbenigol neu leyg) penodol.

Bydd myfyrwyr unigol yn cael eu gweld mewn sesiynau galw heibio wythnosol

• Neilltuo ychydig o oriau bob wythnos i fynd dros y deunyddiau a gyflwynir mewn darlithoedd a darllen angenrheidiol (22 awr)• Ar gyfer gwaith cwrs, rydym yn argymell o leiaf 10 awr i nodi pwnc a chynnal chwiliad llenyddiaeth a 10 awr arall o ysgrifennu a golygu (20+ awr) Dylai myfyrwyr ddefnyddio'r amser sy'n weddill ar gyfer adolygu cyn yr Arholiad Terfynol; rydym yn argymell treulio tua 2 awr y pwnc a 5-10 awr ar ymarfer ysgrifennu traethawd bach gan ddefnyddio'r enghreifftiau a gyflwynir yn y dosbarth (30 awr).

  • reflect upon a range of psychological sociological health historical and philosophical perspectives and consider how these underpin different understandings of babies and young children and childhood
  • apply multiple perspectives to early childhood issues recognising that early childhood studies involves a range of research methods theories evidence and applications
  • integrate ideas and findings across the multiple perspectives in early childhood studies and recognise distinctive early childhood studies approaches to relevant issues
  • constructively critique theories practice and research in the area of child development
  • demonstrate knowledge and awareness of the skills needed for different pedagogical approaches including: - the necessary depth and strength of relationships with individual children and children in groups and the facilitation of the building of relationships with and between children - the formation and promotion of mutually respectful relationships with families colleagues other professionals and communities
