Overall aims and purpose

Fyfyrwyr sy'n ymgymryd modiwl hwn bydd yn dysgu i: -

Nodi cryfderau a gwendidau o broffiliau seicolegol unigol (yn seiliedig ar berfformwyr anghenion);

Adnabod ardal ar gyfer ymyrryd;

Datblygu dealltwriaeth o gymhwyso technegau seicolegol chwaraeon i ardaloedd a nodwyd gan y unigol;

Defnyddio technegau seicolegol er mwyn helpu i wella perfformiad personol;

Werthuso cryfderau a gwendidau o ymyriad cymhwysol.

Students undertaking this module will learn to:-

Identify strengths and weaknesses of individual psychological profiles (based upon a performers needs);

Identify an area for intervention;

Develop an understanding of applying sport psychological techniques to areas identified by the individual;

Apply psychological techniques in order to help enhance personal performance;

Evaluate strengths and weaknesses of intervention applied.

Course content

Y modiwl hwn yw cyflwyno materion sy'n amlwg yn seicoleg chwaraeon gymhwysol. Yn ogystal â sesiynau medrau meddwl, bydd y modiwl hwn hefyd yn canolbwyntio ar rai o'r prosesau sy'n gysylltiedig â seicoleg chwaraeon cymhwysol (e.e., ymagweddau at ymgynghori a phroffilio perfformiad).

This module aims to introduce issues that are apparent in applied sport psychology. As well as mental skills sessions, this module will also focus on some of the processes involved in applied sport psychology (e.g., approaches to consultancy and performance profiling).
