Overall aims and purpose

  1. Datblygu gwell medrau o ran meddwl ac ysgrifennu am gerddoriaeth a hanes cerddoriaeth.

  2. Cynyddu ymwybyddiaeth o gonfensiynau a chyd-destunau ymchwil ac ysgrifennu academaidd.

  3. Datblygu medrau mewn ymchwil a chael gwybodaeth newydd.

  4. Datblygu gwybodaeth a dealltwriaeth y myfyriwr ynglŷn â phwnc cerddoregol penodol o’u dewis.

  5. Paratoi myfyrwyr ar gyfer gofynion Traethawd Hir ym Mlwyddyn 3 (WXC3276/7).

Course content

Mae ymchwil yn fedr academaidd sylfaenol, ac felly hefyd y gallu i ysgrifennu’n effeithiol ar ganlyniad yr ymchwil honno.

Ar y modiwl hwn, mae myfyrwyr yn gwneud ymchwil i bwnc o’u dewis, ac yn ysgrifennu ar eu canfyddiadau mewn traethawd o ryw 4500-5000 o eiriau. Ar yr un pryd, mae’r modiwl yn cyflwyno myfyrwyr i rai o gonfensiynau a dulliau ymchwil a chyflwyno cerddoregol, a hynny trwy astudiaeth ar wahanol enghreifftiau o ysgrifennu academaidd. Ar ben hynny, bydd myfyrwyr yn parhau i ddatblygu’r medrau astudio a ddysgir yn Astudio Cerddoriaeth, yn cynnwys medrau llyfryddiaethol, medrau meddwl yn annibynnol, a medrau cyflwyno ar lafar.

Bydd y modiwl yn paratoi myfyrwyr ar gyfer ysgrifennu Traethawd Hir ym Mlwyddyn 3, a gall hefyd fod yn fuddiol i fyfyrwyr sy’n ystyried Project Golygu ym Mlwyddyn 3.
