Overview

Bydd y modiwl yn gymorth i fyfyrwyr ddatblygu eu sgiliau a'u hyder i ddefnyddio'r Gymraeg yn eu pynciau academaidd. Drwy gyfuniad o ddarlithoedd a gweithdai ymarferol yn y dosbarth, a gwaith annibynnol, bydd y modiwl yn rhoi sylw i sgiliau iaith, cyweiriau gwahanol, ac elfennau iaith fel y treigladau, gwallau cyffredin, ffurfiau'r berfau, a Saesneg yn Gymraeg. Bydd hyn yn gosod sail gadarn i fyfyrwyr ddefnyddio'r Gymraeg yn fwy cywir a hyderus yn eu hastudiaethau.

Byddwn yn cyflwyno adnoddau iaith cyfrifiadurol sydd ar gael i'n helpu i ddefnyddio'r Gymraeg, e.e. Cysgliad, geiriaduron electronig a gwefannau termau. Bydd cyfle i ddatblygu sgiliau gwrando, llafar, darllen ac ysgrifennu yn y Gymraeg drwy wahanol weithgareddau e.e. tasgau gwrando, darllen, trafod ac ysgrifennu, a chyflwyniad llafar unigol. Bydd myfyrwyr yn cael adborth cyson ar eu gwaith, a bydd hyn yn eu helpu i gywiro a datblygu eu hiaith dros gyfnod y cwrs.

Bydd myfyrwyr yn dechrau datblygu dwy sgil benodol, sef crynhoi a thrawsieithu. Bydd y rhain yn eu helpu i drafod eu pynciau drwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg ac yn eu paratoi at weithle Cymraeg neu ddwyieithog. Byddant hefyd yn dysgu am rai o'r prif wahaniaethau rhwng iaith lafar ac iaith ysgrifenedig, ac yn cael cyfle i ddefnyddio gwahanol gyweiriau.
