Overall aims and purpose

Amcan y modiwl hwn yw cloriannu'n feirniadol, ar ffurf traethodau unigol a thrafodaethau seminar, ddetholiad o weithiau llenyddol cyfoes. Rhoddir sylw manwl hefyd i gynllunio traethodau a threfnu gwybodaeth yn unol â chonfensiynau safonol, e.e. cyfeirnodi a threfnu llyfryddiaeth, yn ogystal ag arweiniad ynghylch materion yn ymwneud â llên-ladrad.

Gellir cofrestru i ddilyn y modiwl hwn wyneb yn wyneb a/neu ar-lein, e.e. drwy Microsoft Teams neu Blackboard Collaborate.

Course content

Canolbwyntir yn y modiwl hwn ar ddetholiad o weithiau gan rai o lenorion y Gymru gyfoes sy'n ymrafael â themâu cyfredol a pherthnasol, e.e. natur diwylliant poblogaidd; dylanwad y cyfryngau cymdeithasol; amlddiwylliannedd a chynhwysiant; boneddigeiddio trefol a gwledig; hunaniaeth a chyfeiriadaeth rywiol. Ar ddechrau’r modiwl bydd cyfres o sesiynau hyfforddi ar faterion technegol yn ymwneud â chynllunio traethodau academaidd, e.e. dulliau cyfeirio, trefnu nodiadau, paratoi llyfryddiaeth ac osgoi llên-ladrata. Symudir wedyn at destunau gosod y modiwl: yn achos pob testun yn ei dro, ceir darlithoedd rhagarweiniol ac yna drafodaethau seminar a rydd gyfle i fyfyrwyr bwyso a mesur y testunau ar lafar.

Dylai’r gwaith a gyflwynir, ar lafar ac yn ysgrifenedig, hefyd ddangos gallu i nodi nifer o gyfeiriadau cymharol perthnasol, gafael dda ar gystrawen a theithi’r Gymraeg ac ar dermau technegol a geirfa’r maes penodol hwn, a pharodrwydd i fynegi barn bersonol yn hyderus ar nifer o ddadleuon a damcaniaethau.

Ar sail yr arweiniad a geir yn y dosbarth, mewn rhestrau darllen a deunyddiau ar Blackboard, disgwylir i fyfyrwyr fynd ati i baratoi ar gyfer eu traethodau a'u seminarau.
