Overview

Bydd y modiwl yn dechrau drwy drafod yr hyn a olygir wrth foeseg a’i phwysigrwydd fel nodwedd cymdeithas. Gyda hynny, ystyrir y modd y mae crefydd yn medru effeithio ar foeseg a sut fedr moeseg ddylanwadu ar grefydd. Eir ymlaen i ystyried rhai traddodiadau crefyddol penodol o’r hen fyd hyd at yr oes fodern, a hynny er mwyn galluogi myfyrwyr i sylweddoli a gwerthfawrogi’r modd yr ailymddangosai rai syniadau, daliadau ac egwyddorion crefyddol. Gan hynny, trafodir cymdeithas, crefydd a moeseg dau wareiddiad yr hen fyd, sef Mesopotamia a’r Aifft. Symudir wedyn i ystyried crefydd Israel ynghyd ag Iddewiaeth – y grefydd a ddeilliodd o Israel. Trafodir arwyddocâd y Deg Gorchymyn a’u goblygiadau moesegol. Ystyrir Cristnogaeth a moeseg hefyd mewn perthynas â’r Deg Gorchymyn, ond hefyd mewn perthynas â phregeth enwocaf Iesu – Y Bregeth ar y Mynydd. Yn dilyn hynny, trafodir moeseg mewn perthynas â Siciaeth, gan fanylu’n arbennig ar y tair dyletswydd sy’n greiddiol i ymddygiad a bywyd Siciaid. Gorffennir y modiwl drwy drafod moeseg a Bwdhaeth gan ystyried dysgeidiaethau’r Bwdha a thrwy gwestiynu a oes angen credu mewn ‘duw’ er mwyn bod yn foesol dda.
