Overview

Mae’r modiwl hwn yn dilyn ymlaen o’r modiwl Cyflwyniad i Ficrobioleg ac yn adeiladu ar y wybodaeth a gafwyd i ddatblygu dealltwriaeth o rôl y labordy Microbioleg Feddygol wrth ymchwilio ac adnabod bacteria a pharasitiaid sy’n bwysig yn feddygol. Bydd myfyrwyr yn cael eu cyflwyno i egwyddorion damcaniaethol amrywiol grwpiau bacteriol a pharasitaidd mawr a chymhwyso ymarferol ystod o weithdrefnau microbiolegol a ddefnyddir wrth wneud diagnosis labordy o heintiau bacteriol dynol a dysgu egwyddorion gweithdrefnau gweithredu safonol. Bydd y defnydd o astudiaethau achos yn galluogi’r myfyrwyr i ddefnyddio’r wybodaeth ddamcaniaethol a enillwyd i ddeall y newidiadau patholegol sy’n digwydd mewn heintiau clinigol a achosir gan rai o’r bacteria a’r parasitiaid a astudiwyd yn y modiwl hwn a darparu’r wybodaeth angenrheidiol ar gyfer astudio Microbioleg a Dynol Blwyddyn 3.

Astudio rhai prif grwpiau o facteria a pharasitiaid sydd yn bwysig yn y maes heintiau dynol. Deall y prif gysyniadau a ddefnyddir i archwilio a rhoi diagnosis o heintiau mewn labordy microbioleg feddygol.

Assessment Strategy

-Trothwy -D- i D+ Dylai fod gan fyfyriwr trothwy wybodaeth sylfaenol o'r ffeithiau hanfodol a'r cysyniadau allweddol a gyflwynir yn y modiwl. Mae'r gwaith yn ymdrin yn anghyflawn â deunydd y modiwl ac efallai na fydd dadl a bydd diffyg enghreifftiau a chefnogaeth.

-Da -B- i B+ Dylai fod gan fyfyriwr da wybodaeth ffeithiol drylwyr ar draws pob agwedd ar y modiwl, a gallu manylu ar enghreifftiau lle bo'n briodol. Mae'r gwaith yn dangos dealltwriaeth drylwyr yn seiliedig ar y deunydd a gyflwynir. Mae'r ddadl yn rhesymegol ac yn cael ei chefnogi'n dda.

Mae tystiolaeth o feddwl beirniadol a darllen ehangach yn hanfodol ar gyfer marciau A+ ac A.

Learning Outcomes

  • Cynhyrchu adroddiad ymarferol Microbioleg Feddygol a phrosesu, dogfennu a dehongli'r data a roddir neu a gafwyd.

  • Dangos dealltwriaeth o rôl Microbioleg Feddygol yng ngweithrediad labordy Patholeg o ddydd i ddydd.

  • Dangos gwybodaeth o ddatblygiad, diagnosis a thriniaeth afiechydon amrywiol a astudiwyd yn y modiwl hwn.

  • Disgrifiwch egwyddorion rhai o'r profion labordy Microbioleg Feddygol a ddefnyddir amlaf a'u harwyddocâd diagnostig.

  • Esbonio egwyddorion Sicrwydd Ansawdd ac arfer labordy da.
