Overview

Ceir cyflwyniad i'r prif theorïau cymdeithasegol, gan ganolbwyntio ar bersbectifau'r swyddogaethwyr a'r ddamcaniaeth gwrthdaro. Edrychir ar waith Emile Durkheim a Karl Marx a'u gwaith arloesol mewn ffurfio theorïau cymdeithasegol cynnar gan gynnig heriau a datrysiadau i'w theoriau gan ddamcaniaethwyr cyfoes a chyfredol. Yna edrychir ar sefydliadau cymdeithasol yn y gymdeithas gyfoes, gan gymhwyso'r theorïau a'r persbectifau at ddadansoddi sefydliadau fel y teulu, addysg, y farchnad lafur a dosbarth cymdeithasol.

Cyflwynir prif theorïau a phersbectifau cymdeithasegol o fewn y modiwl hwn, Cymdeithaseg a'r Byd Cyfoes. Trafodir y prif gysyniadau cymdeithasegol megis diffinio pwpas cymdeithaseg, hunaniaeth unigol a chasgliadol, cymdeithasoli, normau a gwerthoedd cymdeithasol a nifer o gysyniadau yn gysylltiedig â phynciau’r teulu, addysg, dosbarth cymdeithasol, y farchnad lafur ac anghydraddoldeb. Cyflwynir y prif ddamcaniaethwyr cynnar megis Durkheim, Weber a Marx ynghyd â damcaniaethwyr a meddylwyr mwy cyfoes sy’n herio safbwyntiau damcaniaethwyr cynnar y maes. Ceir astudiaeth o’r prif sefydliadau cymdeithasol, yn eu plith y teulu, addysg, dosbarth cymdeithasol a’r farchnad lafur, gan gynnwys archwilio’r ffactorau sy’n effeithio tlodi ,allgau cymdeithasol ac anghydraddoldebau cymdeithasol yng Nghymru a thu hwnt.

O fewn y modiwl hwn, byddwn yn ceisio ateb y cwestiynau canlynol sy’n amlygu rhai safleoedd o wrthdaro a thensiwn o fewn y gymdeithas ac sy’n ein helpu ni i ddeall pam nad oes gan bawb yn y gymdeithas gyfle cyfartal i lwyddo:  Pa ffactorau sy’n effeithio llwyddiant unigolion o fewn y system addysg?  Sut mae’r Marcswyr yn ymdrin â dosbarth cymdeithasol?  Beth yw safbwyntiau’r Ffeministiaid ar anghyfartaledd rhywedd yn ygweithle?  Pa unigolion neu grwpiau yn y gymdeithas sydd fwy tebygol o ddioddef tlodi ac allgau cymdeithasol?  Yn ôl y Swyddogaethwyr, beth yw rôl y teulu yn y gymdeithas?

Trothwy: D- i D+ Arddangos ymwybyddiaeth sylfaenol a chyffredinol o theorïau aphersbectifau cymdeithasegol megis Marcsiaeth, Ffwythiannaeth aFfeministiaeth. Arddangos ymwybyddiaeth sylfaenol o rôl sefydliadaucymdeithasol megis y teulu, dosbarth ac addysg yn y gymdeithas gyfoes gangyfeirio’n achlysurol at yr hyn sy’n digwydd yng Nghymru. Bydd y myfyriwr ynamlinellu dealltwriaeth sylfaenol o’r persbectifau a’r sefydliadau ond ni fyddai’n manylu nac yn ehangu ar y drafodaeth mewn manylder. Bydd ymyfyrwyr yn cyflwyno gwaith ysgrifenedig gyda chyfeiriadaeth a llyfryddiaethsylfaenol yn unig.

Dangosdealltwriaeth dda a lled fanwl o rôl sefydliadau cymdeithasol yn y gymdeithasgyfoes yng Nghymru gan dynnu ar enghreifftiau addas, a beirniadol mewnmannau i gefnogi atebion. Bydd yn cyfeirio’n gywir at gysyniadau megismeritocratiaeth, ymwybyddiaeth ddosbarth, cymdeithasoli, normau agwerthoedd cymdeithasol a chysyniadau creiddiol eraill. Cyflwynir y gwaithysgrifenedig gyda chyfeiriadaeth a llyfryddiaeth briodol a chywir.

Rhagorol: A- i A+ Bydd y myfyriwr medru ymdrin yn feirniadol â theorïau a phersbectifaucymdeithasegol y maes hwn megis Marcsiaeth, Ffwythiannaeth aFfeministiaeth mewn modd soffistigedig ac academaidd aeddfed ei naws. Bydd y myfyriwr yn arddangos dealltwriaeth gwmpasog o ystod o brifddamcaniaethau’r maes gan arddangos ymchwil annibynnol a’r ymgais iehangu ac ymestyn y drafodaeth. Bydd y myfyriwr medru dadansoddi,dehongli, gwerthuso ac egluro yn feirniadol rôl sefydliadau cymdeithasol yn ygymdeithas gyfoes megis y teulu, addysg a dosbarth cymdeithasol. Bydd ymyfyriwr yn rhoi ar waith cysyniadau creiddiol i’r persbectifau allweddol megismeritocratiaeth, ymwybyddiaeth ddosbarth, cymdeithasoli, normau agwerthoedd cymdeithasol gan bwyso a mesur eu gwerth i’r gymdeithasgyfredol . Bydd y myfyriwr yn defnyddio gwybodaeth o ffynonellau amrywiolac yn cyrchu gwybodaeth newydd er mwyn trafod y meysydd mewn dyfnder.
