Overall aims and purpose

Mae’r modiwl hwn yn dwyn ynghyd yr holl sgiliau a phrofiad sy’n gysylltiedig ag Archaeoleg, Athroniaeth, Crefydd, Cymdeithaseg, Hanes, Polisi Cymdeithasol, Treftadaeth a Throseddeg a ddysgwyd gan y myfyriwr ym mlwyddyn 1 a 2 wrth iddo/iddi gwblhau prosiect ymchwil (10,000 o eiriau) yn llwyddiannus. Byddwch yn cynhyrchu darn sylweddol o ymchwil ar bwnc o’ch dewis chi, gan reoli sut y byddwch yn ei ymchwilio ac yn ei ysgrifennu. Dynodir goruchwyliwr traethawd hir i bob myfyriwr fydd yn ei gyfarfod/chyfarfod fel rheol mewn tiwtorial un-i-un er mwyn goruchwylio’r ymchwil a thrafod cynnydd. Gall gwaith y myfyriwr gynnwys ymchwil llyfrgell ac archifau, gwaith maes, trefnu data ac ysgrifennu. Bydd traethodau hir yn amrywio mewn ffurf yn ôl eu maes (Archaeoleg, Athroniaeth, Crefydd, Cymdeithaseg, Hanes, Polisi Cymdeithasol, Treftadaeth a Throseddeg); yn ôl y cyfnod y maent yn ei drafod; ac yn ôl natur y ffynonellau/data y maent yn eu defnyddio. Dylai’r traethawd hir gynnwys elfen o wreiddioldeb (yn y ffynonellau/data a ddefnyddir ac/neu yn eu dadansoddiad) a dylai gynnwys deunydd gwreiddiol.

Course content

Bydd y traethawd hir yn gosod y pwnc ymchwil a ddewiswyd yn ei gyd-destun ehangach e.e. llenyddiaeth academaidd, hanesyddiaeth, methodoleg, fframwaith theoretig, fframwaith daearyddol/archaeolegol. Bydd yn gosod cwestiynau ymchwil a bydd strwythur yn cael ei lunio. Bydd yn disgrifio ac yn dadansoddi'r pwnc a ddewiswyd gan ddefnyddio ystod o dystiolaeth wreiddiol ac eilaidd berthnasol. Ysgrifennir y project mewn dull trefnus ac academaidd.
