Gan ddefnyddio’r iaith Gymraeg fel man cychwyn, yn ystod y modiwl bydd myfyrwyr yn edrych ar sut i ddisgrifio gwahanol ieithoedd o ran eu gramadeg, e.e. Cymraeg, Saesneg, Ffrangeg, Sbaeneg. Mae’r modiwl yn addas ar gyfer myfyrwyr sy’n astudio ieithyddiaeth, llên/iaith Cymraeg, llên/iaith Saesneg, iaith fodern fel Sbaeneg neu Ffrangeg, ayb.

Bydd myfyrwyr yn ystyried y berthynas rhwng ieithoedd gan ystyried teuluoedd iaith a deall sut mae gwahanol ieithoedd yn rhannu tebygrwyddau ieithyddol.

Ceir hefyd cyfle i ystyried sut y gall ieithoedd effeithio ar ei gilydd, gan sôn am e.e. benthyg geiriau, cyfnewid cod (sef defnyddio dwy iaith yn yr un sgwrs), ayb. gan ystyried ieithoedd cyfarwydd yn y cyd-destun amlieithog modern.

Nid oes angen cefndir ieithyddol er mwyn cymryd y modiwl. Bydd ffocws union ieithoedd y modiwlyn dibynnu ar ddiddordebau penodol y myfyrwyr sydd yn y dosbarth.

Amcanion:

Drwy hyn byddant yn dysgu sut i adnabod, enwi a dadansoddi agweddau ieithyddol sylfaenol iaith mewn enghreifftiau o destunau.
