Course content
Bydd dosbarthiadau'n cael eu rhannu rhwng cyflwyno ac ymarfer elfennau gramadegol a thrin a thrafod amrywiaeth o destunau. Gwneir hyn drwy:
- Datblygu dealltwriaeth o strwythurau gramadegol allweddol a'r gallu i gymhwyso'r rhain mewn ymarferion gramadeg, cyfieithiadau a thraethodau.
- Datblygu sgiliau cyfieithu a darllen drwy astudio testunau sy'n amrywio o ran arddull a chywair.
- Datblygu sgiliau cyfieithu testunau i ac o'r Ffrangeg a chynhyrchu darnau ysgrifenedig, megis traethodau byr, yn Ffrangeg.
- Datblygu ac ehangu geirfa.
Rydym yn defnyddio'r gwerslyfr canlynol trwy'r flwyddyn:
Simone Renaud & Dominique van Hooff. En Bonne Forme (8fed argraffiad) (Efrog Newydd: John Wiley & Sons, 2008)
Rydym hefyd yn awgrymu bod myfyrwyr yn prynu'r canlynol:
- Geiriadur dwyieithog mawr, megis rhifyn diweddaraf y Collins-Robert neu'r Oxford-Hachette.
- Geiriadur uniaith mawr, megis rhifyn diweddaraf y Petit Robert.
- Cyfeirlyfr gramadeg Ffrangeg manwl i gyd-fynd â'r gwerslyfr. Rydym yn argymell argraffiad diweddaraf French Grammar and Usage (Hawkins a Towell) neu A Comprehensive French Grammar (Glanville Price). Er ei fod ychydig yn fyrrach na'r ddau lyfr blaenorol, mae A French Reference Grammar (Ferrat) hefyd yn addas ar gyfer y flwyddyn gyntaf.
