Overall aims and purpose

Nod y modiwl hwn yw rhoi profiad uniongyrchol o gynnal ymchwil seicolegol i fyfyrwyr. Bydd hyn yn datblygu eu sgiliau o ran casglu ac adolygu llenyddiaeth, dylunio arbrofion, casglu data, a dadansoddi a dehongli data. Yn ogystal, bydd myfyrwyr yn datblygu eu sgiliau cynllunio, eu sgiliau trefnu, a'u gallu i gydweithio gydag eraill.

Course content

Bydd myfyrwyr yn ymgysylltu â phob agwedd o'r broses ymchwil, gan gynnwys dylunio arbrofion, ystyried materion moesegol, profi cyfranogwyr, dadansoddi data, ac ysgrifennu adroddiadau ymchwil.

Disgwylir i fyfyrwyr ysgrifennu adroddiad ymchwil sy’n esbonio’r ymchwil a wnaethpwyd fel rhan o’r modiwl. Mi fydd y traethawd hir yn cynnwys elfennau arferol adroddiad ymchwil (crynodeb, rhagarweiniad, dull, canlyniadau, trafodaeth, cyfeirnodau, atodiadau), a dylid ei fformatio’n ôl canllawiau’r APA. Cyn cyflwyno’r traethawd terfynol, caiff fyfyrwyr adborth ysgrifenedig ar ddrafft o’r rhagarweiniad, y dull, a’r canlyniadau.

ORAL Cyflwyniad llafar / Oral Presentation

Mae'r rhan yma o'r prosiect wedi ei rannu fewn i ddwy ran, sef POPPS a'r cyflwyniad llafar terfynol. Mae'r ddau ran werth 5% o'r radd, ond mae POPPS yn cael ei farcio ar sail eithriad.

Mae'r modiwl yn fodiwl 40 credyd, ac felly disgwylir i chi wario 400 awr ar y gwaith dros y ddau dymor. Psychology Oral Presentation Practice Sessions (POPPS)

Yn nhymor 1, mi fydd myfyrwyr yn mynychu sesiynau POPPS wythnosol (1-awr o hyd). Yn y sesiynau hyn, mi fydd myfyrwyr yn parhau i ddatblygu eu sgiliau cyfathrebu, ac yn paratoi ar gyfer y cyflwyniad llafar terfynol yn nhymor 2.

Dylech gael cyfarfodydd rheolaidd gyda’ch goruchwyliwr yn ystod y modiwl. Dylid defnyddio’r amser a nodir yma fel canllaw, ond disgwylir i fyfyrwyr gyfarfod gyda’u goruchwylwyr unwaith pob pythefnos (o leiaf).

Tutorial

Mi fydd trefnydd y modiwl yn cynnal sesiynau galw draw wythnosol dros y ddau dymor. Caiff fyfyrwyr ddod i’r sesiynau hyn heb wneud apwyntiad.

Yn ystod y sesiynau, caiff fyfyrwyr ofyn cwestiynau am y modiwl, y broses ymchwil a/neu aseiniadau’r modiwl. Er hyn, ni fydd trefnydd y modiwl yn darllen nac yn rhoi adborth ar ddrafftiau o’r aseiniadau. Dylai’r myfyrwyr gysylltu gyda'u goruchwylwyr unigol er mwyn derbyn adborth ar eu gwaith.

  • Understand the scientific underpinnings of psychology as a discipline.

  • Be computer literate for the purpose of processing and disseminating psychological data and information.

  • Handle primary source material critically.
  • Engage in effective teamwork for the purpose of collaborating on psychological projects.
