Overall aims and purpose

Mae troseddeg yn faes astudio hynod ddiddorol. Mae'r maes troseddeg fel pwnc disgyblaeth yn benthyg o feysydd eraill megis cymdeithaseg, polisi cymdeithasol, gwyddoniaeth wleidyddol, daearyddiaeth, seicoleg a hanes yn ogystal â'r gyfraith, cyfiawnder troseddol ac astudiaethau'r heddlu. Ymdrinir â safbwyntiau theoretaidd gwahanol sy'n egluro trosedd a rheolaeth gymdeithasol ac ymddygiad droseddol. Olrheinir gwreiddiau troseddeg hyd at drafodaeth o safbwyntiau mwyaf cyfoes.
