School of Welsh
Module - Semester 1 & 2

Module Organiser: Jerry Hunter
Overview

Gofynnir i fyfyrwyr lunio darn byr o Gymraeg (rhyw 1½ ochr A4) yn wythnosol. Weithiau bydd y dasg a osodir yn ffeithiol ei gogwydd – cyfieithiad, crynodeb, erthygl ar gyfer papur newydd – dro arall bydd yn fwy creadigol – stori fer, portread, darn o ddialog. Caiff y darn hwn ei farcio’n fanwl a bydd y tiwtor yn trafod ansawdd yr ysgrifennu gyda’r myfyrwyr. Y mae cryn bwyslais yma felly ar yr elfen lafar. Yn ogystal â thrafod pynciau gramadegol byddir hefyd yn ymdrin â gofynion genres arbennig o ran arddull a chywair.

Bwriedir y modiwl hwn ar gyfer myfyrwyr Ail Iaith.

Assessment Strategy

-threshold -D- i D+: Dylai'r darnau wythnosol a pherfformiad llafar y myfyrwyr ddangos gafael ar gystrawen a theithi'r Gymraeg ac ar dermau gramadegol a llenyddol. Dylid hefyd ddangos gwybodaeth am arddulliau a chyweiriau gwahanol a'u perthynas ag amrywiol genres llenyddol. Yn ogystal dylai myfyrwyr ddangos gallu i gymhwyso'r wybodaeth ramadegol a llenyddol hon at eu gwaith ysgrifenedig eu hunain.

-good -B- i B+: Dylai'r darnau wythnosol a pherfformiad llafar y myfyrwyr yn y seminarau ddangos gafael dda ar eirfa, cystrawen a theithi'r Gymraeg ac ar dermau gramadegol a llenyddol. Dylai myfyrwyr ddangos dealltwriaeth dda o ofynion gwahanol genres o ran cywair ac arddull ac o'r modd y gellir defnyddio'r fath wybodaeth i sicrhau lliw ac amrywiaeth yn eu hysgrifennu eu hunain. Dylent ddangos parodrwydd i fynegi barn bersonol yn ysgrifenedig ac ar lafar.

-excellent -A- i A*: Dylai'r darnau wythnosol a pherfformiad llafar y myfyrwyr yn y seminarau ddangos gafael gadarn ar eirfa, cystrawen a theithi'r Gymraeg, yn ogystal ag ar dermau gramadegol a llenyddol a phriod-ddulliau'r iaith. Dylid hefyd ddangos gwybodaeth drylwyr am arddulliau a chyweiriau gwahanol a'u cyd-destunau llenyddol priodol, a gallu datblygedig i fanteisio i'r eithaf ar yr wybodaeth hon mewn darnau ffeithiol a chreadigol. Bydd y farn bersonol a fynegir, yn ysgrifenedig ac ar lafar, yn un annibynnol ac aeddfed sy'n dangos gallu i ddatblygu syniadau'n glir ac yn rhesymegol.

Learning Outcomes

  • Dadansoddi'n ramadegol y gwahaniaethau rhwng yr iaith lafar a'r iaith ysgrifenedig a thrafod pynciau gramadegol ac ieithyddol yn hyderus ar lafar.

  • Defnyddio'r cywair a'r arddull gywir yn ôl gofynion genre arbennig.

  • Disgrifio a dadansoddi pynciau gramadegol a'u cymhwyso at eu hysgrifennu eu hunain.

  • Manteisio'n feirniadol ar y profiad a enillwyd o gael y cyfle i lunio darnau creadigol ochr y ochr â darnau ffeithiol.
